DIY Family Graduation Shoot (Cityhall Area)

19:48:00

Looking to DIY for your graduation shoot?

I've been photographing other families for the past few years. And my parents were expressing their desire to have one ourselves too, to mark my younger sister's graduation. Instead of paying someone to do it, I thought, why not do it myself? True that we may not achieve perfect poses or enjoy the luxury of having someone follow us, I think it is the process of shooting that actually matters.

It's nice to have someone in charge of food/water, taking turns to carry the heavy equipment, and having each other contribute ideas for the shoot. Whether the photos turn out perfect, is secondary.

We drove and parked at the Parliament house. Here are some ideas if you wish to do so at City Hall, and refer to the image of the map of the route we took.

1) The Arts House at The Old Parliament

2) Opposite Boat Quay

3) Opposite Fullerton Hotel near Cavenagh Bridge

4) Victoria Concert Hall

5) Edge of Singapore River near Lim Bo Seng Memorial

Not forgetting National Gallery Singapore, known for her architecture which is not featured in this album. Which are your favourite locations in the area?
